This image was captured at the 50 anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. A very complex projection system was used with 17 projectors preventing distortion.

The rocket (and the projection) was 363 feet tall! The Washington Monument is 555 feet tall.

I drove from the Philadelphia area to Washington DC specially for the once in a lifetime opportunity to capture this photo. Not going to take this photo, would have been a lifelong regret.
